Is it L. anceps?
 

I bought this one which was labelled as L. anceps while it was an very young plant. It finally bloomed recently and has great colors. But the lips of its flowers look quite different from that of the common anceps.
But the p-bulbs and long spikes make it look more like L. anceps. Does anyone here know what it is? Or any comment is welcomed.

My anceps is currently blooming so I compared your pic. except for the lighter lip they look very similar. I believe there are variations in Anceps as I have an Alba form. I'd say yours is a variation.

Thats a nice Laelia and I think it shows a touch of L. gouldiana in it which would make it a hybrid.

Roy could be right - that would be a L. Lookalike (anceps x gouldiana). But both of those have a more distinct yellow callus on the lip. This one has a darker look, deep in the throat. Could it have a little L. rubescens maybe?

Thanks for the inputs. I now also consider my plant a cross. It looks like L. rubescens in it. But still need further identification.

Regardless of what it is, it's beautiful! One thing to note when identifying species is try not to use only color to determine lineage, for example your flower has coloration of rubescens but when looking at flower size between rubescens and anceps, rubescens has 2" flowers and anceps has 2.5"-4"; a quite distinguishable difference.

Good point Weebl. My L. Anceps has a 2' spike but flower hasn't opened yet. It doesn't look like the one I have. Must be a variation of some sort. Nice flower tho.

Thanks, Weebl. I have L. rubescens that also bloomed recently. L. rubescens has smaller and short-lived flowers than L. anceps. The flower showed above is almost as big as that of common anceps.
I uploaded the photo of my rubescens several days ago. It is a great plant to grow, too.
