Ever Spring Orchids

Here is an orchid nursery that I have dealt with many times and have been really happy with almost every plant. Phalaenopsis is their specialty, although they do also carry a selection of crosses from Cattleya, Cycnoches and Odontoglossum types.

It is not unusual to receive a Phal. in spike (since almost all are BS) - don't worry though.....they pack all their plants very well for shipment. I have never received plants damaged from shipping.

I have found that sometimes their Phals are too tightly potted in Sphagnum Moss and they take forever to dry out. One Cattleya that I received was very poorly rooted and took forever to get established.

Regardless, they have always been prompt to respond to any concerns, comments or inquiries. Their website and plant lists are updated regularly. They have a monthly newsletter and email notification of website updates.

I will certainly deal with them again, next update is due in the spring.

I've bought many orchids from them, and went to visit at least 3x, as they are only 450 miles away.
In the past, I also found their Catts and some other genera to be packed too tightly in moss, but it's getting better now. I still remember when they advised people that the Catts are grown in the far east, arriving with very little roots, (that's how they grew them there), but with care, they would become established. They then provided instructions on how to grow these Catts.
The last one I bought from them, a Cycnoches, was bare root (as requested), but with very little roots. I asked Gerry about this, and he gave me some advice-now it's in full bloom, and just started emitting a wonderful fragrance.
EverSpring is a good vendor, and I find myself perusing their website every so often to see what's new so I could buy more. :)
