Dendrobium crumenatum

Ah! This time I was there to caught them open! They are so short-lived that you need to stay alert otherwise you won't see them fully open!

Here is a close up of one flower:

Mauro, I'm very happy you were there to catch them before they went bye-byes ;)

What a cutie-pie! :)

How short-lived are we talking for this species? Just curious. It is quite beautiful, Mauro. And the plant would even look attractive out of bloom.

Excellent capture of this beauty! :bowing :bowing

I have been trying to get a photo of mine now for about a year and a half...without success. :( I appreciate that you've shared this with us. :)

A few hours, Steve, four or five at most in my plant!

Wow, Mauro, and I thought stanhopeas had short-lived blooms! The insect pollinators for this species must be quite attentive when the plant is in flower.

Did yours smell funny? Mine smelled really funny and I had to put them in another room because I didn't like it. I applaud you on your picture taking abilities because it took me forever to take one decent picture. Very beautiful.

Mine had a decent fragrance... not especially remarkable, but also not unpleasant!
