Additions to the menagerie
As the numbers continue to grow......
A student brought this lil guy in to me -- Storeria dekayi . Primary prey are earthworms and slugs. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...akenoid2sm.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...akenoid3sm.jpg This is Vinnie. He's a Uropygid -- aka vinegaroon. Native to the tropics, uros eat arthropods and are believed to also be scavengers. Quite harmless, they lack stingers or venom. Can't say I like snakes.. but that one might be nice to have in the greenhouse... a true organic slug pesticide..

I don't like snakes but I hate slugs even more. Have lost way to many cattleya buds lately to slugs so the wee snake is welcome in my gh. The other ... as Sue says Not so much!
