Here's another Laelia purpurata from my collection, this time a variety called rosada.

Your. Lpurpurata v. rosada is a beauty! We had one once which received an AM/AOS. I loved that plant. It put on such a show every year. I believe it was in something like an 8" pot and had 5- 6 heads of 3 to 5 flowers each! Un fortunately, we lost it after a hurricane - along with my other purps. Seeing yours, reminds me of how much I enjoy the purpuratas. Maybe one day we can attend the purpurata show!

Sorry to know of you loss, Kathy! It seems it was a great L. purpurata. But, sometimes there's nothing we can do, right?
