Is it a dendrobium? And what kind?

I recently came into possesion of a plant that the person who gave it to me claims is an orchid. To me, this plant looks like bamboo, which would most likely make it a dendrobium...I think? The leaves though, are smaller and lighter in color than most pictures I've seen. They're almost a yellow green color. The tallest "stalk" is about a foot high. There are two others that are about half as tall, one which is brown and shriveled (dead, I would assume?) Does anyone have any idea what kind of orchid this is...if it even is one? I can post a picture if that would help.

A picture would be great, that way we don't have to guess about what your plant could be :-)

Welcome to the OB Mtay since I miss your first thread and also to Bluezz. Anyway yes a pic would do the trick. Otherwise your description does sound like it could be a dendro. Then again it could be a bamboo.

Welcome from me also. Your original post sounds like Epidendrum - specifically, a reed-stemmed Epindendrum. Does it look anything like http://www.orchidboard.com/community...bs/DSC2621.jpg or http://www.orchidboard.com/community...ensium2582.jpg or http://www.orchidboard.com/community...bs/DSC2180.jpg or http://www.orchidboard.com/community...bs/DSC1061.JPG All are possibilities.

Here's a picture of the whole plant. No flowers, all I know about them is that they're "pinkish." Not much to go on...thanks for the help!

Kudos to Ross for deciphering the description before the photo and making a fairly accurate guess by my eye. I would have to agree that it is most probably a epidendrum, though there are a few others that have a simlar growth habit but are much more rare and doubtful that someone would just give one up without a tag.. maybe Ross knows what color it'll be too... j/k Ross.
