These pics shows the main distinguishing features of this species:
1) short spike, the flower opens below the level of leaves (in Bifr tyrianthina the flowers open above the leaves)
2) Hairy, trilobate callus in the lip
3) short spur (Bifr tyrianthina has a long spur, thickened in the base)
This intense purple color is uncommon in Bifr harrisoniae, in the 'type' color forma the purple is dimmed
