Pot sizes
 

I get completely confused when repotting as to whether this or that orchid should be allowed to be pot bound; whether otherwise 1/2 inch is a good up size.
Does anyone have or know of a list of potting suggestions by genera or even down to species?

Generally speaking, you should keep any orchid barely able to fit the next sized pot you would be able to purchase. Usually an inch or so bigger.
