Trudelia alpina (Lindl.) Garay

:hello. Could someone direct me to a location where I can read about looking after this orchid? Just wanted to try a new (variety) and to make sure I mother it to its advantage. :feedback: I want it to live and prosper.

Thanks.....Faz.

Dear Faz,

Vanda (Trudelia) alpina is rather rare in cultivation. It is also not very showy. If you don't have V. cristata or V. pumila, try those first before you try V. alpina. Both grow under intermediate conditions without many hassles and at least V. cristata is more readily available.

Hope that helps, Eric

:waving. Picked up a alpina at the orchid show today for $15.00. It came with a beautiful container. I'm going to give it my best effort to make it bloom. Thanks for getting back to me. The minute the orchid blooms, I will post pictures.

You have me thinking also of the V.cristata or pumila.

All the best.....Faz.
