Neofinetia Falcata x Asctm Miniatum in spike

I've had this one about 6 months, it has never bloomed so I don't know the color, but I have what appears to be 2 spikes or maybe new growths. Is it to late in the year for this to be spiking?

Hey there Luckygrower,
I love the Neofinetia Falcata xAsctm Miniatum and I love how it is potted. Did you pot it yourself? I ordered a
Neofinetia Falcata 'Higashi De Miyako' 2.5 in pot from Asiatica online. I want to pot it in the same way but I have questions regarding once I get the moss mounded with the orchid on it and place it in the pot how does one water it? Do you spray yours to moisten it or what?
Any advice would be helpful.

Good Growing

I did plant it, it is planted in a plastic 3" Neo. pot, this makes it very easy to water. I have my RO system next to my kitchen sink, so I just run the water over each one until they are soaked, about 2-3 times a week or when ever they are dry.

I can't wait to see if these are spikes or growths. I don't think it is too late in the year for it to spike. I have a Asctm pusillum that is in spike now. I think miniatum is also a winter flowerer.

Mike, it seems so hard to tell with those growths that come from the bottom. On all of my neos, they always turn out to be spikes when it comes from the 3rd or 4th set of leaves on the plants that have about 5 or 6 sets of leaves. Everything else....:dunno: , until it declares itself. I hope yours is a spike, though:goodluck:
