Snails and tiny red beetles!

My C. Leopoldii "Dark Prince" x C. Leopoldii "Super Dark" is now inhabited by very tiny button shaped snails and a few even smaller beetles. I think they are beetles, maybe mites :( The little snails are slightly larger than the head on a pin and the little red things are the same size. The red things have a perfect hemispherical shell. Are these things bad for my orchid? Should I get some pesticide?

I'd get something to get rid of them. A repot into fresh medium would probably be a good idea too.
