Is this even an Orchid?
Sorry about the ignorance here. I spent a bit of time this summer hiking in the German Alps near our home. I took quite a few photos of some wild orchids, but somehow, this computer only seems to have this one. And, I don't even know for sure if it is an orchid at all! But it sure is pretty.
Anyway, perhaps I could get some tips on how to photograph orchids in a way that will make identifying them possible. Have fun looking at these! http://www.orchidboard.com/community...080831_094.jpg http://www.orchidboard.com/community...080831_091.jpg |
I go hiking in the French Alps often, and I think I've seen the same one. It's not an orchid. For sure it's an Aconitum, I think it may be Aconitum variegatum which is also called Aconitum paniculatum
I hope you find your other photos, I would love to see them. If you're interested, I have pics of alpine orchids in my gallery. |
Your gallery has some stunning pictures in it. Congratulations on capturing such beautiful examples for us to see. I haven't got nearly anything quite so spectacular. However, now that I know what i am looking for...

Is this an orchid
Hi
I have seen your pic - it is very pretty, but I do not think it is an orchid, especially not from the area mentioned. I have no idea what it could be, sorry. H |
