"Hon, wanna see something cool?"

LOL...I should know by now that when my husband knocks on the door or rings the bell and says those words, I should grab the camera...and be prepared to run! :coverlaugh:
This is the beauty he found today under one of the eaves on the front of the house. The first picture is her underside, then hubby moved the web and she turned around so I could get the next picture. She is about 2 inches long from tip to tip...and gorgeous! Her web is beautiful too...more like a ladder structure than a circular common web and the silk is thicker and more golden than the usual stuff. Suzanne,
I actually like spiders...so long as they don't come in flocks, herds, gaggles or whatever you'd like to call a whole bunch of em together. :yikes: She is very cool ! Thanks for sharing her with us. :D |
How beautiful, Sue! She's wonderful. The only ones we get here that get big are also brown and furry - not really beautiful.
|
Awesome. great pic Sue.

I am soooo scared of spiders but wow, she IS just beautiful and wonderous.
I am nuts about spider's webs. . .just think they're the coolest most amazing things in the world! I am actually quite okay if spiders are outside. . .but I would have FREAKED if I found that in my shower, for instance. |
Beautiful spider and an interesting article, too. Thanks!
