I got this new intergeneric hybrid from RF Orchids last month when it was in spike. Here it is in full bloom...and it has a delightful fragrance!
The cross is Paraphalaenopsis laycockii x Ascda. Meda Arnold 'Blue Queen'. It is actually a plant I picked up by mistake...I meant to grab another similar type cross and misread the lable...I didn't notice it until after I got home. Oh well, I'm glad that this mistake happened. |
That's beautiful, David! A great new addition. (and it doesn't sound like a mistake to me... it sounds like you were meant to have this one!!)
|
Another little beauty
I like the coloration and the shape of the flowers .. unusual :) |
Gorgeous! That's a new one for me...I like it...a LOT!

Very beautiful. It is an interesting cross too.

I'm glad that you all are enjoying this beauty. Thanks for your kind words. :)
Suzanne...they had lots of these guys at RF, and they are featured on their website under New Arrivals, although I am sure it will be moved to the Vandaceous Hybrids section at some point in the near future. So whenever you're ready to have one, you know where to look. :) |
FANTASTIC MISTAKE. I love it. I have never seen this before. Enjoy your 'mistake'
If I was ever let loose in RF's geenhouse??????? For consolation I'm going to go cut my self a big piece of fresh raspberry, cream cheese, chocolate pie, with chocolate dripped all over the top...... Marilyn |
