Maybe fungus, but dead plant

Hi, I think I have a dead plant on my hands. It was an Aeranthes grandiflora, and when I received it, it had a yellowing leaf on the bottom with a black spot. I didn't think much of this, but then all of the bottom leaves started to fall off and now when I was trying to repot it back into a pot from a mount, I tried to pull off the dead brown parts of the leaves that fell off and the whole plant separated from the roots! There weren't any live roots anyways. There was also some kind of spotty white dots in between the brown left overs of the leaves that I was trying to remove...I emailed the vendor to ask them about another plant, but I received it in July...so I'm not sure what kind of case I have. :_( :_(

The last pic is when I received it and the rest are of what is left.

I'm so sorry about your plant! Is it black rot, possibly, crown rot? How often were you watering it?

It was being watered every few days before I decided to mount it and put it in my terrarium. I guess that wasn't a good idea. However, when I went to mount it, I only noticed one good root on it so I guess I should have left it in the pot to recover. I haven't received a reply from the nursery yet, but that's ok. It was just a try to see if they'd do anything. I have the plant sitting in some water to see if anything happens hahah
