How long to use soaking solution?

Hi folks and Ray, I have a miniature cat in s.h. and every thing looks good. I am wondering how long to use the soaking solution. I,ve been running the solution through every 3 or4 days to make sure the upper medium in moist. It,s been about 3 weeks since I started, so would it be okay to start to fertlize now. Well be grateful for any help. Thank you Wayne

I usually use it for the very first watering only.

Also, if you're reusing the same solution (capturing the overflow for reuse), STOP NOW. The chemistry is changing at each watering, and who knows what it is now.
