Semi-hydroponic "Sphag and bag"

I thought this would fit here better.I have an Onc. on sphag and bag including the S/H pot. Now i also have a Dend. keiki and the Dend. mother plant in the same situation.
I was told that the problems iīve had with the keikis might have been caused by the roots not being able to adjust to S/H. So now iīm keeping the plants with no water in the reservoir, so the medium is not too humid. My question is....if the sphag and bag method works and i get new healthy roots, how and when should i adjust them to the S/H culturing???? Should i take the plants of the bag and start watering normally as soon as i see roots coming out?
Also should i mist if the medium starts to look too dry, or should i fight the urge to water/mist the plants at all?

Excuse the many questions. Any comments and help are always greatly apreciated.

I'm treating a Blc. Chia Lin 'New City' and Dendro. 'Pegasus' keiki as I would normally with S/H but with a clear plastic grocery bag loosely placed over the plant like a dome to boost humidity.

So far it seems to be working fine.

Cheers.

I did that and it gave me problems. The S/H conditions were too humid for the keikiīs roots that grew aerial and it damaged them.
I donīt want that to happen again, thatīs why i asked those questions, to avoid exactly that.

Azhael, what you're describing sounds typical.

The roots that already exist on the keiki have been grown in air, so their cells are tailored to function in that dry environment. Whn placed in the totally-different environment of the S/H pot, I would expect them to not function correctly, and die. The Keiki will need to grow new roots that are designed for the S/H pot environment to be successful, and that means being in contact with the moist medium when they do.

Thatīs what i was recently told. My mistake was to assume that the keikiīs roots were young and they could therefore adapt....itīs been made obvious itīs not that way. Now i want my plants to grow new roots and thatīs why iīm using the sphag and bag method, but iīm prone to overwatering and over-worrying, and i need advice as to how to take care of the "bagged" plants and how to get the new roots(if they appear) to adapt properly so that i donīt repeat the same mistakes. Will the new roots be adapted to very high humidity? Iīm guessing S/H is far more humid than the actual conditions in the bag....
