am a total newbie to the world of orchids- main interest Masdevallias and Draculas. Stumbled across this site and just blown away by the amount of info here- a tribute to all past and present members.

Awww Cool!!! I'm sooo Glad you wanna try it too!!! Your Chids will love it!!! As My God, when I put my babies outside in my "Chid Hotel" from my Greenhouse, I got soooooo much new Growth, Roots, Buds, spikes, & Blooms!! I wish I had done it yrs ago!!!

We're a friendly group and manage to have some laughs along with all the help you need. I'm sure you can contribute too!

Watch for our 'projects', they are a lot of fun and give you a chance to grow and hopefully bloom an orchid that you aren't familiar with.

Jkelle's outdoor growing area is super isn't it?
I copied her, in a fashion, this summer and have seen marvelous growth. Give it a try if you can.

Welcome to the OB bazza! I know you mentioned your main interests are in Masdevallias and Draculas....but just wait until you join one of our Projects....you will discover so many other's out there you won't know what to do! :biggrin:

How big is your current collection? Do you have any pictures to share?

Welcome Bazza, from another Kiwi, these guys are a great bunch of orchid addicts and have some wonderful orchids, some that we in N.Z can only dream about, check the joke page, it's always a great way to start the day. Enjoy their company. Cheers.
