Ants in S/H pot

I have looked at the other "ant threads" and tried paprika but all that did was move the ants over to the pot next door. Anyone have any advice or experience? What's a good way to poison them considering I don't see them moving out of the greenhouse? Thanks for any advice.

Neem oil and detergent/ dish washing liquid mix works for me.
1L (water): 5-10ml(Neem): 5ml(detergent)
Shake, and spray on the critters!

You mean you actually found an ant colony living in the LECA? I would have thought that medium would be too sterile for them. I'd better check mine!

yup, we were in a serious drought here and it has rained a lot over the past week or two, tons of ants moving into anywhere that is covered... a greenhouse, even though rather damp, has been very attractive to them

don't oil and soap sorta cancel each other out?

The drop of soap acts as a wetting agent and allows the neem oil and water to mix better.

If it's dry there get some diatomaeous earth, supposed to work well for most insects.
