Phalaenopsis cornu cervi
Probably not really considered 'exotic', it is the first of my more exotic species to blossom for me. There is also a bud forming on a second spike.

Al,
I'm a phal species lover! This is beautiful to me. I love the color and the wonderful shine these cornu cervi thows off. I have an alba form, it's tough trying to get a clear up close photo of these lil guys. Good growing :D |

I really like this one, Al! :D
Its gorgeous, and seems like its gonna eat anything that is brave enough to take a closer look... |
P. cornu cervi is a personal favorite, being one of the first orchids I ever owned. The one I have now is lightly fragrant, as was my original. Any fragrance to yours?
|
A beauty, Al! Well done!
Most of the Phals I have are species, I just love them  The cornu-cervi I have was red like yours when I bought it but due to a change in the culture (that's an assumption on my part ;) ) when it bloomed for me, the red was very muted. Yours is gorgeous! I'm hoping to get the red back eventually :dunno: |

Nope, I can't detect any scent but it's a bit cool here right now..... Sue: In 'real life' it is a bit darker red. Al |
Just beautiful! Your photo is gorgeous too. It really gives a good impression of what it looks like in person. Now I want one too!
