Cattleya Spotting?...

:waving :hello ,
I've had this plant for about 2 months was doing fine, lately started noticing some darker spots on the leaves than others- and on the edges some dark ridges)...
The plant has like 7 pseudobulbs this discoloration is occuring on the 2 older ones, im worried about it spreading- most importantly is this a bacterial problem, dryness, sunburn, or insect of sorts?....:(
I grow this plant in my growing room, east window but about 1.5 feet away since the sun here is brutal, I checked on the leaves this morning and they were "warm"...
Also some tiny black dots- thought it was scale so tried scraping off with toothbrush and such- I dont know whats going on...:scratchhead:

Thanks

It looks like a desiccated old leaf to me - one that wil drop off with no consequence (you DID say they were the oldest pseudobulbs, right?)

Yeah, the longer they've been around, the more chance of having a little physical damage (bugs, burn, etc.) When the older leaves abort, those damaged areas really become clearer. I'd keep a close watch. If other, newer leaves become affected, I'd start thinking about treating it.

Hi guys, thanks, the plant has 7 psuedobulbs, one has already dropped its leaf and 3 seem to have the same spotting with one clearly dominant as can be seen in the picture, that leaves 3 "normal" ones.... what might be going on.... This plant at first was secreting that happy sticky fluidy stuff, no more... :S ? thanks
