Very impressive. Maybe you can give me some hints as to this cross. I have a 'Splendiferous' that will not grow well for me, let alone bloom. It grows like a weed, but the growths are small and week, and just flop over from the weight of the leaf. The bulbs get very thin and shrivled even before they mature. I've never had a problem like this with a catt before. Is there a trick to this cross that I am missing? Thanks!

Beautiful bloom, Rai! The last photo is very interesting. I've never known anyone to shape a flower this way. Is this method used very much?

:)

We call the way "Wearing a suit" which is used to correct large flowered cattleyas that do not open flat.

So it is use temporarily?.....how long is needed. Does the flower retain the flatness after the suit comes off?

It is used temporarily, usually 1-3 days.
The method can usually keep the flatness.
