My bare root collection of Cattleya Alliance arrived today. I also ordered one other bare root for a total of six. They packed one bonus plant as they said they would. Also received one that is actually two so I potted them up separately. Not a blemish or problem with any of them. The order was very carefully packed and I am very impressed! Now comes the fun of waiting for new roots to appear. :D

I have loved everything that I have ordered from Carter and Holmes - all roughly 100 of them this year! :blushing:

I ordered total five orchids on last Thursday, a set of 3 phal species collection, another phal specie and a seeding walkeriana.

I received the plants today. They are well packed and overall healthy. Only the phal collection is not like the vendor states they are near blooming size, will bloom in 12 to 18 months, one of them is in 2 inch pot and only has two 2 inches long leaves. The biggest plant's leaf of all is 2.5 inches long. In short, I will call them seeding size.

Another disappointed thing is no extra bonus plant included instead a coupon of a free plant for next purchase within 30 days. I sent the vendor an email. Honestly I don't care too much about the bonus plant but feel be cheated especially this's my first order from them. :(

I had a similar experience from them about a year ago and I will not order from them again.

Everything I have ordered from Carter & Holmes has been very well packaged and all orchids were in terrific condition. Won't hesitate to order from them again.

I just ordered from them for the first time. I ordered the Phal collection, another Phal and something else :scratchhead: , I forget what I oredered. I hope they come this week. I will let you all know how my order is.

I just got my order this morning. I got the Phal. collection: Phal.violacea 'Rofino' , violacea coerulea,
and Phal. bellina.
I also got Phal New Wave 'Spring Meadow', Paph. Song of Love, and Rhyncostylis retusa alba.
I also got a free orchid Phal.Orchidview Bellringer '#1' x Phal. Brother Laurence 'Menenhall'
They all look really heathy. The Phal. collection look like large seedlings, they look like what the catalog described so I'm happy with them.
They also sent me a coupon for a free orchid if I order within 30 days. I'm not going to let that go to waste. Now I have to decide what to get.
