Hey Y’all!

I thought it was time I introduced myself. I’ve been gardening for over 35 years and currently have perennial, shade, alpine, water, moss, bog, and vegetable gardens, but my first love is orchids. I have been growing them for over 12 years – 15 years, if you count the first orchid I ever owned (a phal) that I unfortunately, sometime later killed. It was the demise of that orchid that started my obsession with them, my need to know everything about them, and my desire to grow them, and grow them well.

I know have 65 or so different plants that I grow indoors in windows or under lights during the winter and outdoors during the summer, and hope to have my own greenhouse in the near future. When that time comes, I’ll probably have lots of questions for all of you greenhouse growers.

So that’s the cliff notes version. I’ll be seeing you around the boards!

:hello and welcome to the OB. I'm a new member too; just joined yesterday but so far so good. My first orchid was also a Phal who I almost killed but it's happily growing back to a healthy plant. Here people are very friendly and helpful. Take care!!
