avid pesticide
Im still fighting scale and some one told me to use avid and found it at the local hydro shop and lucky they sold small amount because it was not cheap. Has anyone use it and what did they think:goodluck:

I've used it, but mainly as a miteicide. From my understanding if you spray the top of the leaf, it will trans locate to the bottom side which makes spraying much easier.

Avid sounds like a trade name. What's the active ingredient? You may be able to find a cheaper pesticide with the same 'stuff' in it.
|
Aktiv ingredient in Avid is Abamectin and You can find it in Agri-Mec SC and i Avid... both stuff expensiv!

I always read the reports of pesticides and fungicides that I plan to use due to being endlessly curious. I found this:
Abamectin |
Imidacloprid is another possibility... a cheaper one, I think.
|
Abamectin is only one that is effektiv on all 4 groups of mites.
If nothing else can't get rid of mites, so Abamectin do... |

It is very, very important to match the pesticide to the pest. An insecticide won't kill mites (which are arachnids not insects) and a miticide won't kill insects (scale, aphids, etc) Bayer's Advanced 3-in-1 is mostly imidacloprid(insecticide), though it does contain a miticide, but not a lot.
