My new Paph Insigne 'Harefield Hall'
My hubby is totally the best and somehow tracked down this paph for me for my birthday. It's been on my ultimate wishlist since I started this (addictive) hobby
I've had the orchid a couple days now, and could tell the potting medium was really due for a change. I was sooo scared to change it, I don't know why...I don't want to kill this lovely plant because a) it was pretty expensive and b) it's a division from a mother plant close to 60 years old. I'm so glad I repotted it, it had the healthiest, fattest roots I've seen on a paph, plus lots of new root growths too. I'm crossing my fingers I can get this to bloom myself, and when I do I'll be sure to post pics :photo: |
That's excellent Megan, don't forget us when you do bloom it!!

Megan, you did the right thing! I've never been disappointed with any of mine when I repotted. Seems to encourage even more roots. I also would like to see the flower when it blooms.

Allright Megan! Can't wait to see the pics :D Congratulations!
