My husband says a friend of mine gave us this plant but I'm having a brain-freeze! Can't remember who gave it to me :blushing: or what the name of the plant is :blushing:

Does anybody here know?

Hmmm, I am sure it is in the daylily family (Hemerocallis). But its not a daylily, I was going to say Resurrection lily but those have more than one bloom per spike. It sure is pretty though, I'll keep looking.

What ever it is .. it's pretty :)
How big are they? :hmm

OOPS, I meant Liliaceae family, yeah it is a lily of some kind but that is a huge family. Oh and the spike in the middle of the photo has a seed pod.

They're lovely. I believe they're a type of lily too. These used to spring up in a large 6' patch during late spring / early summer at my mother's home every year, probably as a result of the former owners long forgotten flower bed.

Thanks everybody :)

I knew they look like a Lily but I have no clue as to which one...they sure are gorgeous though
For two days, my hubby kept telling me to go look at "that plant" by the garage...when I finally got there, I ran for the camera :coverlaugh:

D, the blooms are about 3 inches across

Look like a bulb of some sort, must look them up, Judi

Very nice! I wouldn't know what to do if I had seen that in the forest let alone my back yard (if I had one).

Habranthus robustus

It's a rain lily. Ever notice it puts on it's show about 2 days after a shower? ;)
