Ebay has changed feedback policy!
There are a lot of threads here about ebay vendors so I thought I'd share this tidbit....
For those of you who haven't been on ebay in the last month or so, they have done some overhauling of the feedback system. Vendors can no longer give buyers negative feedback! They can only file non paying bidder and for TOS infractions. But they can no longer hold the threat of a negative retaliation over the buyers head for posting honest feedback when the buyer gets the short end of the stick. Ebay claims this was done because of 'feeback abuse' buy unscrupulous sellers. Something tells me that some vendors may end up going by the wayside, or at least their ratings will take a serious hit in the coming months. There are several other changes that have been made. If you're interested in reading about them, ebay has the updated information here Upcoming Changes to Feedback Happy ebaying for chids! |
Thanks for posting that! My boyfriend sells on ebay and I learned about this awhile ago too. I'm not sure if this is good or not. I'm sure that certain buyers will take advantage of it too though. But it is nice to be able to leave a negative for someone that has really screwed you over and not get a negative in return. I've seen a lot of people leave a positive notation but leave a nasty message for this reason. I wonder how it will go? :hmm
