Dendrobium laevifolium - potting media

I recently received a Den laevifolium Orchid of the Week Library: Dendrobium laevifolium and decided to have a look in internet for tips on how to grow this species. I had came to the idea of trying to use NZ Sphagnum and put it next to my Neofinetias and Sedireas (so that they have similar watering ritmus), but found this link Dendrobium Aussie's Hi-Lo '#1' on Flickr - Photo Sharing! where one of its hybrids (Dendrobium cuthbertsonii x Dendrobium laevifolium) seems to be grown on living moss (does not look like Sphag). It looks very cool :) Does any of you guys have experience with this kind of culture in Dendros? What about any tips fro growing den laevifolium succesfully? :scratchhead:

As you know from Dorothy's post, mine is mounted and in the orchidarium. That's where I prefer my minis if possible.

Ramon, perhaps the picture just has a top layer of live moss on it in the pot and not the entire thing. I have live moss on a few of my mounts, I love how it looks! By the way, what a cutie of an orchid !

Hello, i am wondering how your dendronium liked your NZ moss treatment. i have one that seems to like its surrounding, just like another phal.. but i noticed that it is very root bound and is growing a couple new shoots. Now would be the best time to repot, and wonder if i should go with some very light bark and moss on top? any experience or advice for this plant? it bloomed continuously for 3 months or more. it would be a pity to mess up the repoting activity!
