I'm new to the forum, I'm trying to become a orchid hobbyist in near future. Inherited a glass case I would like to convert into a orchidarium in my finished basement. My past experience is that I need something like an orchidarium in my cold, cloudy climate.

I wrote a blog concerning my set-up, under "beginner needs help".

I like all orchids, but would like to start with the easier lower temperture types.

I don't know about orchidariums myself since all my plants grow outside year round but you will find good folks here who will help you out. :goodluck:
