Please what is happening to all my dendrobium flowers?!
4 Attachment(s)
I have really been loving growing these dendrobiums so I'm hoping they are not virused!! If anyone can give me their insights I would be very grateful because I can't figure out what is wrong!!
Other facts: - I thought it might be thrips, but I cant find anything crawling on the leaves or flowers. - flowers opened normally, and the damage appeared after a week or so - they are otherwise healthy, they have roots and grow in a mix of orchiata and besgrow sphagnum moss. - they grow indoors and have not been exposed to extremes of temperatures or any environmental stresses |
That doesn't look anything like virus.. I think you don't have to worry about that. I wonder if they have been hit by cold water? Some of that looks a bit like botrytis. Are they near a chilly window?

They do not get very wet however I have taken the shower head to the pots and flushed the media (not overhead). It is possible that small droplets of water could have splashed onto the blooms. I am relieved to hear it is not virus!

I second botrytis.
