Purple-red color on the stem

Hi. I noticed a purple-red edge along the "joint" between the stem and the root of my Phalaenopsis Orchid, as shown in the picture. What could this color edge indicate? Is it an early sign of stem rot or a fungal infection? Thank you very much.

Totally normal. Don’t worry about that type of coloration on a phal.
