Epicatt... Bacterial or??

I've had this one, Epicattleya Rene' Marques 'Flame Thrower' HCC/AOS, for a very long time. It has always been an extremely slow grower (for me). Fall of 2023 I noticed leaves starting to get what appeared to be a dark red color, along with the sheathing along the cane. It looked similar to what one sees when pushing too high on the lighting. South window, supplemental LED lighting. I've moved it a couple times where LEDs were hung higher, behind another plant, etc. It's bloomed a couple of times.

Kept getting worse, and midway through November I stuck it on a different bench... a "remember to keep an eye on this bench." Well, holidays, too many other priorities. Looked at it yesterday, and it's got about seven blooms. And the "red color" and dying leaves... ugh. It is now definitely something else. I know two of the pictures aren't great, but best I could get. First one shows up best, and note it's also on the blooms this time...

Can kind of see it on this one...

The one cane that looks really dark? It is. Longest cane (over a foot tall) absolutely no leaves, and three blooms at end.

It's a rare occasion to treat anything around here that gets a bacterial or fungal infection. Most times I just pitch. But this one is special to me and I don't want to lose it. It's a mericlone. Thoughts? Treatment? Heeeellllllp!!

In mu oppinion it's fungal. If so, a coper based solution will take care of it.

I would check the leaf spot photos at the St Augustine Orchid Society Web page. Are you sure it's not spider mites? Epis. are highly susceptible to them. I would treat for spider mites even if I didn't see them.

When I lived in St Louis for a couple of years and grew cacti & succulents, I had to bring them inside and keep them under fluorescent lights in Winter. I sprayed the entire collectipn with soapy water or 70% alcohol every 2 weeks to prevent spider mite trouble, which was otherwise guaranteed.
