Can I save my orchid?!
1 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone, I'm Hannah.
I don't really have any experience with orchids but I would like to identify the one I have and also how to revive it. Any ideas? I have trimmed as much rot as I can and have tried to mist it and placing on moss to ensure air flow etc. The leaves are also very limp. I feel as though I have tried everything and I am now at a loss. Any help would be appreciated. |
It looks like you have a phaleanopsis. Had, I'm afraid. Yours looks too far gone...

Welcome. The growing point and stem are dead, so it's gone.
Phalaenopsis aren't hard to grow and flower once you learn what they want.. Before you get another one do some reading here. From the left yellow menu choose Forums then Beginners. Near the top is a sticky thread The Phal. abuse ends here. Read a few pages of this. |

caring for a Phalaenopsis isn't hard once you know what to look for. Like the others said, this plant is dead, not able to revive. But I would like to encourage you to get a new Phalaenopsis, read "stop the abuse" and /or ask here for help. Get a hybrid like you can find in many grocery/hardware stores etc. That will give you a good start and they are relatively easy to grow compared to species. I'm sure the members here are willing to guide you through the proces of taking care of a Phalaenopsis. |
