Cattleya Lueddemanniana "Yumare"
4 Attachment(s)
I have a Cattleya lueddemanniana "Yumare" that always blooms around this time.
The curious about this one is that when the bud opens the flower is almost white, then the day after, it starts to get the standard lavender color. Sometimes, like now I have a "white" flower and a lavender one in the same plant. Tomorrow both will be lavender with the oldest one (from 12/17) a little more darker since is older. It happened last year too. This is the only lueddemanniana that I have and does that. I have read they come from the Yumare region in Venezuela. |
Very cool color form!

Interesting! I'll look out for that when my one seedling gets around to blooming!
