After 5 years it sent a spike last night.

And now the real waiting begins!

Congratulations! As many of the more experienced members here are fond of reminding us: Patience! Orchids don't do anything fast.

I am very curious what this will actually be. I got it as a baby and a label.

Not what I was expecting

Strange

I just last night went to Lowe’s in Victoria Tx. and bought two dendrobium without ant further names and they were both in white pots that looks like the one yours seems to be in. I was just thinking that I wish I knew a little more about them. They are both in bloom, ones yellow and the other a blend of blues and whites. Good luck with those.

This one was barely a clipping that I bought from someone on ETSY. Got several others at the time that have matched the lineage perfectly. I repotted about a year after they arrived. This one meets
all parameters except color. Seems odd considering they posted photos of the original. Do orchids change color if introduced to a new environment?

Environment (temperature and light) can very definitely affect color. Also, if it is seed-grown plant (as opposed to a clone) the same parents can lead to very different-looking offspring. (Just like people...)

That sure is different to the pics I've seen of Arthurara Sea Snake 'Unforgettable'. In the pics I've seen the blooms were long and 'spidery' looking with very dark green/brown bloom with a deep red lip with yellow spotting/stripes.

Yours looks more like Ett. Volcano Trick, possibly 'Volcano Queen'

Lovely blooms regardless.

Thanks. I’m not unhappy with the plant. It’s grown and finally flowerd. I am going to research your ideas. Thanks for input
