Big fluffy blooms with strong fragrance. Love it!
A bigger sheath is in development on the opposite side of the plant. Hopefully it’ll yield even bigger blooms. |
OK, can someone please teach me how to upload photos here so they're not tiny and flipped? Thanks!

It's a "feature" of the ancient software upon which Orchid Board operates. We're all used to turning head sideways. If you download to desktop, open it in your photo editor of choice, rotate it 90 deg., save, rotate it back and save again, that usually fixes it. I have found that if Ijudy open the file in my editor, and then just do a "save as" the same name, that works too. Either way, the manipulation apparently resets the file metadata that controls the orientation.

The rotation issue is due to phones not encoding orientation direction the way this old software expects. It can be corrected by opening the image in a desktop image manipulation program, rotating in any direction, saving the file, re-opening the file, rotating to the correct orientation, and then saving the file. It will upload correctly.
It used to be just Orchid Board that had this peculiarity, but I am seeing more and more sites that don't display images nor PDFs correctly after uploading. The image size is a limitation of OB software. Some people use an image hosting site to post links that display larger images. The downside is that if those linked images disappear or are moved, the OB links no longer work. You can find photo uploading instructions here. From the left yellow menu select Forums then About this board. Near the top is a sticky thread about posting photos. |
