Mounting B.nodosa hybrids

2 Attachment(s)
I very recently acquired this nodosa hybrid(Bc.Gulfshore’s Beauty;B.nodosa x C.dormaniana) after reading about their resilience, but I was wondering: could this plant, granting the shape it is in, be resilient enough to be mounted and survive?

The bloom was spent when I got it and the base of the blooming growth seems like it was swelling like it’s got something underneath. I would wait until new growth emerges, but I’ve got nowhere bright enough to keep it growing well until then.

Thanks in advance for your input; everything helps!

The swelling is a new growth bud, or 'eye', getting ready to expand. As soon as that growth begins making new roots you can mount it. If you do have a bright spot for the mounted plant, just wrap a string around the leaves and dangle it, still in the pot, in that spot until the proper time to mount.

Thank you, ES—I appreciate the prompt response! I like this idea because I can give it a test run without ripping it out of its home; I’m hoping this plant will eventually provide shade to some others don’t quite appreciate full sun. Thanks again!
