Cymbidium FiFi repot?

3 or 5 gallon bucket? Im thinking a metal washtub. One of those hempvana mesh grow bags? Its in a concrete planter I cant move around so its got to be a repot. 8 new bulbs and Im sure roots all over. Ive got to lighten it up for being mobile ya know :)

Can't advise on going larger... I whack mine down when they get above 2 gallons, can't lift them beyod that. If you wanted to divide this beast, get out the Sawzall...Then you have MORE of them!

Does have a fighting chance of bloomoing.... Fifi is half maddidum. Which also contributes to the bulk, however.

divide is not a bad idea. divide and conquer :)

I checked and there's 9 new bulbs could be split 4 and 5. in one year be back to where I'm at now...Maybe a quad split. Go ahead and plant it in wheelbarrow :)

thanks!! :bowing

Likely it could use it anyway. Minimum 3 pbulbs in a division 5 is better

The bag would work well with your humidity. I think the handles are sturdy.

I vote for the wheelbarrow! Definitely.

Im still looking ...I really kind of like it big and bold. Just needs some beautiful flowers to go with the big and bold.

hmmmm might go porch size decorator pot and drill bunches of holes in it for snails to roost. Then pick em snails off one by one in the little holes :)

I can use the Cymbidium for snail bait..

Big and bold is the best way to go in your climate! Used to have a couple of them back in the day when I grew in the Batcave...

This one became my first kitchen wastebasket Cymb...

Followed by this one...

Sadly, I only have a couple of very small Cymbs now since starting to grow in a different space. That yellow one would be in a wheelbarrow in my yard if I'd had a place to winter it.

I most wholeheartedly approve! :bowing When the time comes, using one of those 15 gallon plastic storage totes will work as well.
