Epidendrum kockii failure
 

Looking for advice:
I failed to keep a mounted kockii alive, so that’s off the table, but I’m hoping for suggestions from successful growers:
media?
moisture?
light?
temperature?
fertilizer?

I’m interested in hearing about successes and failures before I try again.

This is a cool growing cloud forest species. It expects surroundings like a foggy day in the outer Sunset district. Mounted in a heated home would be difficult. A cool misty terrarium would work. If you live in a foggy area you could probably grow it outside, so long as it never dried out.

Are any others in your society growing it?
