Schomburkgia spikes

I have 3 schomburkgias...don't know which name for them except for tibicinis. My question is this: all 3 of them seem to have spikes emerging. But how long does it take? I've been watching them for over a month. They seem to be stalled. My neighbor has one in spikes now and the emerging spikesvseem like what I see on mine.

Patience... those spikes will take several(maybe many) months to develop. Deponding on which ones they are, I suspect late summer or into the fall. They will tease you. You'll know you're getting close when you see the buds start to separate from the growing tip. Until then, it will just keep on growing.

Thank you so much! I'll work on patience.
