Last ditch effort on what to do.
 

I live in Florida, so it's normally pretty hot out, so I've had this orchid for a while. It suddenly went downhill with what I think was root rot, but it improved for a while. Until recently, it went downhill. It rotted all the roots. There isn't a single alive root, and the leaves are starting to prune up. I just put hydrogen peroxide on the roots, but I need to know where to go.

Drugstore hydrogen peroxide is terrible for roots.

Never try to kill root rot with a disinfectant. Healthy tissue does not rot. The roots were dead, so fungi took advantage and started decomposing the dead tissue. You may have killed them with that treatment, it the roots are still dead, so they will return and start decomposing the dead tissues.

You need to find a way to stimulate root growth. I would immerse the entire plant in a strong Kelpak solution (2 tablespoons/gallon, twice the normal amount) for a couple of hours, then keep it very warm in saturated humidity. Repeat in two weeks.

It looks like a Vanda. How were you growing it?

Oh, I didn't know that. I just used it yesterday, the only time after there were no alive roots. I just ordered Kelpak, and I'll keep it outside in the Florida heat and humidity, haha!

I was just letting it hang from my tree, and I was soaking it every day like I was told to. I live in Florida, so it's hot often. I have another vanda that's starting to loose more of its roots now. I have two and one baby. Any advice on what to do because they don't look great? The other just finished blooming but lost a leaf today.

I have friends in Pompano Beach. They hang most of their Vandas under trees in dappled shade, so they never get full sun. Another is mounted on the north side of a palm tree but down low so other trees partially shade it.

Insects called thrips (one thrips, multiple thrips) can eat Vanda root tips. Do some reading on those.

I'll look into the thrips and the newsletter. Do you have any advice on how to keep them healthy, though? We have a spot for them in nondirect sunlight, so they should do okay. But they keep loosing roots and leaves.

The roots might be damaged by thrips. Without enough roots the plant can't take up enough water so it drops leaves. I would treat with a 6-12 hour Kelpak soak when you get it and find out how local growers deal with thrips. We don't have them here in the landscape so I don't kmow.
