Hi Ray,

I was pretty bad at giving my orchids the care they needed, well, apart from water.

I did give them your fertilizer and kelp in the past couple of months and I see all sorts of magic! I've never ever seen roots like these (sending you pictures) and a lot of blooming is happening at the same time.

So this is an email to say thank you!

well done to Irina.
But to keep it fair I will also add a picture to show members what would happen if one uses no Kelpmax at all ever also.

So just for comparison so that people get a better idea of the improvements they will achieve. This has been grown using no kelpmax.

I will say that I've effectively used Kelpak for cuttings, as an example I took off a broken stem of a ZZ 'Raven' plant from the office (I'm the one who bought the plant anyway), and I've been keeping it in some water and Kelpak and it's in face grown a new bulb from the stem and another one from a leaf that broke off.

I had a pseudobulb from my Den. hekouense when I first got it fall off of the plank it was mounted on, and I soaked in Kelpak for like a week or two and now it's another little plant on it's own.

I'm curious to try it on Pinguicula or Sundew cuttings, see what happens.

Please understand that my motive for this post was to make folks aware that there is a product that will be a significant help to their growing, not just so I can sell the stuff.

Back in PA, I grew a lot of vandas, hung high in the greenhouse in slat baskets and no media.

About this time of year, the solar flux increased enough to bring them out of their “winter doldrums” and into active growth. I decided to use them as my “Guinea pigs” for testing Kelpak.

Typically, a mature vanda would put out 4-, to 6, or maybe as many as 8 new roots. After two Kelpak treatments, spaced 2 weeks apart, the average that year was 40.

I’ve been using this on my Orchids & I’ve been having crazy root growth & also more than 1 new leads on most my cattleya. I had a rootless trianae which is now throwing out 3 new leads 2 months later. I personally feel it helps a lot with transplant shock since I had to repot my whole collection in the middle of winter from bringing home 1 new orchid with pest. I think it helps with root transplant since I didn’t lose many roots on most my cattleyas
