Tall Clear vented pots? Has anyone tried these?

I saw these on Amazon, wondering if anyone has tried them. I have some phals I will be repotting and this seems like it would work well. Feedback anyone? They do make different sizes.

I have not used those, but I suspect they’d be difficult to keep upright without some kind of support or outer pot of some kind.

To be honest, I BOUGHT these on Amazon to try. I just repotted three phals. They had big roots, and I had them in pots that were too big. With these pots I found there was plenty of root space, and I could downsize the diameter. There are air slots on the sides. They are remarkably stable. So far I like them. I got assorted sizes, and an added bonus is that the smaller diameter pots are also shorter, so that it adds a little vertical spacing as well to the plant shelf.

I looked at those when I was repotting a number of large Phals last fall. While the height of the largest one is fine, they were still not large enough across the top, and I didn't like how they narrowed significantly on the way down. The root balls on my largest Phals would have been cramped. I ended up with some more traditionally shaped pots that were 7" across the top, but I still wish I could find something deeper.

Like Johndeaux22, I too was worried about how stable that shape of pot might be, but I'm glad to hear they're working out well for you.

True. Also it is the outer diameter that is listed. The pots are quite thick, and the inner diameter is almost an inch smaller. The largest size worked for me as the roots could go down so far into the pot. Will see how they do in them over time. I wish they did larger sizes too.

Cheri...just found these while looking at self-watering pots. They are bigger, they say 9 inch, but I would think inner diameter is closer to 8. Might help you?
