Oncidium Intergeneric

I got this at my local Home Depot today. They usually have everything BUT oncidiums. Any ideas as to what it is? I'm thinking some sort of wilsonara which are supposedly finicky. Yikes!

P.S. It also smells around the same range as gardenias and brassovolas.

Once you've seen photos of lots of species you'll be able to guess better. This one shows a lot of Oncidium ancestry. The fragrance also suggests that. It often comes from Onc. fuscum, a warm grower. The genera involved in Wilsonara usually aren't fragrant. I would guess this is an intermediate to warm grower, and easy to grow in a home.

Thank you! Will definitely look more into Onc. fuscum hybrids since warm-growing, fragrant oncidiums are the exact orchids that I'm looking for!

Try looking up Burrageara Sunkissed 'Butter Cup'. Your plant is lovely either way.

That is the plant name I was going to suggest too.
I have one in my collection.

I've heard it referred to as Oncostelopsis and Miltonidium and Burrageara and with all these changes I'm not sure which name could be correct, it could even be referred to as Oncidium now.
I don't show my plants so I have kept the name as it was sold to me, Miltonidium.

Thanks for the rec! Beautiful yellow, reminds me of the apple blossom orchids. And I assume fragrant?

Funny you should post this. Our society meeting yesterday offered one of these on the raffle table.
