I got this in early September from SVO, in a 2 1/2 inch pot. One mature pseudobulb (and a baby one that was probably the original). A nice blooming on a very young plant. This is the dominant parent (75%) of Cl. Rebecca Northen. Fragrance is just a bit different - Rebecca Northen has a bit of a citrus fragrance, Cl. rosea more floral (somewhere between "rose" and "jasmine") It's completely dormant. It'll get up-potted once it is done blooming, since it'll be starting spring growth right after, need to give it a little room to expand.

If you look back at my prior thread ...And the seasons they go round and round... and compare Cl. rosea with Cl. Rebecca Northen, they look very similar. Both very fragrant, but a little different.

Really reminds me of 'Grapefruit Pink'!
Jealous that yours bloomed! This was the species to grab for sure! Can't wait, thanks for sharing!

Trying my best to encourage my Clo.Amazing Grace and has a small growth at the base...fingers crossed. As you say...patience. Love your reference to Joni Mitchell. Did you happen to see her at the Grammys? Glad she seemed healthy enuf to sing.

I didn't see Joni Mitchell at the Grammys, but I did see the program where she was honored for Gershwin Prize, and she performed there. A marvelous lady, still going strong.
