orchid multiplication medium
 

Bonjour,

Does any of you have experience working in a laboratory that does orchid cloning?
I would like to set up an orchid nursery and my main issue is the chemicals needed to make orchid medium. Importation process is damn complex here and I wonder if any of you have had success in orchid propagation with those ready made powder media like the following two:

Phytamax™ Orchid Multiplication Medium powder, suitable for plant cell culture | Sigma-Aldrich

I and my team have read the "Micropropagation Of Orchids 3rd Edition" which is by far the most complete documentation we have found so far.

The issue is, each orchid breed seems to need "modified" medium which requires a lot of different chemicals.

We would not mind import these on by one and make our own medium but what about these pre-made media? Do they work at least for Phals and Vandas?
