What kind of snail is this and how do I get rid of them?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all, I recently received an order with 2 cattleyas from a well-known US vendor. I just noticed one of them has a few tiny snails on it. I grow indoors and have never had to deal with snails before. They were only a few millimeters in size and brown. I attached a close-up photo.
What kind is it and how do I get rid of them for good? The plants in question were apart from the rest of my collection so I don’t think they’ve spread to my other plants, thankfully. |
Bush snails. Lots of people on the Board have had good success with coffee. (Snail baits won't touch them, not attracted).
This is a great thread for a start: https://www.orchidboard.com/communit...ghlight=coffee Here is another: https://www.orchidboard.com/communit...ghlight=coffee |
Thank you, I appreciate it. I had read through those already I just wasn't 100% sure that it was Bush snails that I saw, since the pictures online differ wildly from each other.
