Ren. citrina
Unlike other red renantheras, the flowers of this species are lemon-yellow colored.
It is a relative new member in the renanthera family and as I know, some hybrids with other vandas are created in recent years and most of them are lovely. |
I just love all your orchids!
This is another really pretty one too. I love the lemon yellow and cranberry hues!!!! |
Very cool! I love it! Yeah, the colors are fantastic. Not like most of the Renanthera I've seen.
Beautiful! |
Oooh it looks really unique!
|
Oh, I LOVE THAT!
I've only seen the standard red Rens! I wonder if I can get that one here? :hmm :bua: Well, a quick search brings up nothing available here. I'll just enjoy yours, Pheli... thank you  |
Sue, the species was imported into Taiwan almost before it was named in 1997. At that time, the species was rare and hence expensive here.
Now seedlings are easily purchased. And the seedlings usually have their first bloom in 3 years. |
OOoooh! I LOVE that one! anyway you could sneak over a flask or six? ;)

I checked some local nurseries and found that most of their exports are cattleya hybrids. As for this one, I have never seen yet. Anyway, it is a charming species and hope it will soon be available in your country. |
