hey there orchid board peeps! dilapidated. orchids. galore. is back with a new season of Place Your Bets on Bloom Time!

in this episode we will completely bore you with the all-pervasive ineptitude that defines us here, and dazzle you with a more than likely blasted bud. we invite you to take the most beautiful things you have in life and stake them on when this beauty will give up the ghost OR enchant us with bug-bitten-brashishness! for your entry fee...if you win...as usual you will receive absolutely nothing, nada, leai se mea.

that's right, wrap those goodies up in your dirtiest old sheet and chuck em out your window, whereby shortly our diligent team of OSCEs (orchid sweepstakes collection elves) will enter your bid into this here all important competition. oh, and also you need to reply into this thread the following information:

respond A if you think the bud will blast. (and add a date this time, cause we think this is the probable outcome too :waving )

respond B if you think the bud will flower. if responding option B you must ALSO include a date that the flower first breaks open.

voting is closed when we say it is! ahem...i mean, prolly nobody is gonna vote so that really doesn't matter!

as usual the closest guess to the date of opening WITHOUT going over wins the game :banana:

thems the rules. if you don't like them, well then just join the rest of the orchid board who are all completely over this silly game by now. finally, as usual we will show the open flower ransom style (assuming it makes it).

details:
plant is a paphiopedilum bellatulum. growing in semi-hydro for a little over a year. for more close ups of the plant you can see it here from yesterday
